i really love the script. i downloaded it but i discovered that the size is 161KB. in my part of the world(which my visitors are from), fast internet connection is still a challenge. 161KB is kinda large for just one script. what can i do to reduce the size or any suggestion. thanks.......really love the script..

uncomment the three lines in the js on whatever page your suing it for...

    // uncomment the 3 lines below to pull the images in random order

    // var $sibs  = $active.siblings();
    // var rndNum = Math.floor(Math.random() * $sibs.length );
    // var $next  = $( $sibs[ rndNum ] );

its always easier to disable that code then to write it, as long as its only one or two things you dont like.

I like having alot of options, but for my task at hand simplicity worked. Thanks for the simplicity John!

Yes, just change the "speed" variable to a number. The number will be in milliseconds.

speed: 2000,

FYI: 1000 milliseconds = 1 second

Hi there,

Is there a way to control the speed of the fade?
To let the transition go slower?

Tnx so much.

Greetings Simon

You may want to try to add some additional styles to the list. If that does not work, you may want to use DIVs instead of the lists.
