New Five Dollar ($5) Bills with Purple Ink

This month, the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s newest, securest—and yes, purplest—$5 bill will hit the streets. George Washington must be green with envy.

Here’s a neat flash file explaining all the differences in the new edition. Including watermarks and security threads.

i like the big purple five and the 3 fives adds a nice touch too. heck the u.s is almost as sophisticated as the Europeans…..ha haha.

WHAT IS THE YEAR BESIDE THE SERIES SUPPOSE TO BE. I HAVE 2 NEW $5 BILL AND IT HAS SERIES 2006.

i have about 12 $5 bills series 2006 & 2 $10 bills series 2004 & 2 $10 bills series 2006 are they worth anything?
